This number is based on the total cost-savings divided by direct spending in Allegheny County.

In addition to cost savings, SHIM’s operations in FY25 generated the following impact:

Allegheny County impact- $8.5 million, 108 jobs supported, $249,747 generated in local taxes
Commonwealth of PA impact- $10 million, 127 jobs, $239,830 in generated state taxes

Analysis indicates that SHIM’s economic impact is equal to or greater than that of peer organizations.
