Opportunities for families.

Serve your community, strengthen your family.

Family opportunities – Immediate

About 30% of food and all of the clothing we distribute each year comes from generous community donors like you. Learn more about hosting a drive here.

Family opportunities – Ongoing

  • Pack dry goods for pantry distribution.
  • School-aged children are welcome to participate with their parents- we recommend one parent per child for children ages 5-7.
  • Check our Facebook page for any upcoming events.
  • Pick up trash on South Park Road
  • Children and teens over age 12 are welcome to participate with their parents.
  • SHIM welcomes you to create an even that’s all your own! If you’re celebrating a birthday or other social gathering – turn it into a gift that can help others. Work with Ann, our volunteer manager, to have proceeds from your event support SHIM.

What to expect.
