Right here in the South Hills, people are hungry.
For countless families in our community, the pandemic has resulted in job loss, economic downturn, and a struggle to put food on the table. In need for the first time and not knowing what to do, over 5,000 neighbors have turned to SHIM for food assistance since the start of the pandemic.
Thanks to you, SHIM’s three food pantries continue to expand to serve the growing number of families facing food insecurity right here at home. While the community has shown incredible generosity throughout the pandemic, the need for food is still here and rising. Economic hardship coupled with inflation woes have forced many South Hills residents to face hunger.
Join us for SHIM’s March to Sack Hunger, a dynamic one-month campaign to help local families find hope, put food on the table, and achieve self-sufficiency.
