Community Update: COVID-19 Resources
Amid growing concerns about COVID-19, the health and safety of our community and staff remains SHIM’s highest priority.
We realize that there are people who will be struggling for food, personal care items and other vital services. Therefore, essential programs (like our three food pantries, utility assistance and financial assistance) will continue in a modified capacity. Please see the complete list of our essential programs and services.
To continue to serve our neighbors and protect the most vulnerable among us, SHIM Center and the SHIM Family Center will be closed to the public until further notice.
SHIM’s staff is working remotely and answering calls and emails in a timely manner. If you have any questions, please call our main office at (412) 854-9120 and select the extension for the appropriate staff person.
Food Pantry: SHIM will offer pantry items via pre-packaged boxes. Shop-thru style pantries will be temporarily suspended. To protect the public, pantry volunteers will implement safe distancing, wear gloves at all times, and sanitize all surfaces.
HOURS: Pantry schedules remain as normal. View the schedule.
Clothing Closet: Suspended until further notice.
Utility Assistance: Will continue as normal.
