Community Update: COVID-19 Resources

The health and safety of our community and staff remains SHIM’s highest priority. Though Allegheny County has entered the green phase, to continue to serve our neighbors and protect the most vulnerable among us, SHIM Center will remain closed to the public until further notice and the SHIM South Hills Family Center will be available by appointment only, Monday – Friday, 9am – 1pm. To make an appointment, please call (412) 892-4673.

We realize that there are people who will be struggling for food, personal care items and other vital services. Therefore, essential programs (like our three food pantries, utility assistance and financial assistance) will continue in a modified capacity. Please see the complete list of our essential programs and services.

SHIM’s staff is working remotely and answering calls and emails in a timely manner. If you have any questions, please call our main office at (412) 854-9120 and select the extension for the appropriate staff person.
